Xscream Halloween Poster Landscape BlankTwisted fairy tales that will turn your blood cold are coming to Rhondda Heritage Park as part of the Hallowe’en horror adventure this October.

“X-Scream – Once Upon A Time” has transformed traditional bedtime stories into spine tingling tales of nightmarish proportions that will haunt visitors to the tourist attraction, which is near Pontypridd, this Hallowe’en season.

For the third consecutive year X-Scream is returning to the popular visitor destination, with a brilliant new adaptation of fairy tales which have become warped through the terrifying mind of an evil old hag.

Run by the same team that received a nomination for a prestigious SCAR Award in 2017 as a top horror attraction, organisers promise this will be the most ghastly adventure yet.

Organiser Helen Gibbons said: “We’ve taken your favourite fairy tales and literally ripped out the joy, destroyed the pleasure and are inviting visitors to enter a ‘make believe’ world of grotesque, blood-curdling monsters and evil, twisted versions of popular children’s characters.

“No more handsome princes kissing beautiful princesses and living happily every after. Instead imagine a zombified Sleeping Beauty, a dead Red Riding Hood and three viscous, not-so-little pigs which tear the big bad wolf from limb to limb.

X-Scream “Once Upon A Time’ theme will take the traditional fairytales made famous by the likes of the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson, as well as a few more contemporary childrens’ stories, and twist the tales into a gory, spine-chilling immersive experience, which visitors must navigate to escape in one piece.  Did we mention....there will be blood, lots of blood!.”

Visitors will meet Olga, who has captured all the fairy tale characters and turned them into blood-thirsty monsters, before being sent on a 40-50 minute journey through scenes, reminiscent of your favourite childhood story but with a big, bad twist.

X Scream – Once Upon A Time comes to Rhondda Heritage Park, Trehafod, near Pontypridd on October 18-21 and 25-31 for 11 nights.

Tickets are priced £22.50 each (+ online booking fee) and the event is recommended for those aged 16 or over (13-15 years accompanied by an adult and aware of some potentially inappropriate content).
